Chardonnay Clos du Bois 2002 Sonoma County

Color: Medium yellow, quite surprising as I would expect the color to be darker given its age
Bouquet: Hazelnut character with canded tropical fruit, hints af bottleness
Taste: Full mounth, hazelnut, canned pineaple, vanilla, given its age quite nice acidity, oakiness is very well integrated in the flavor, does not stick out as I was originally expecting given its origin in US. But that is because it is from Sonoma, where typically acidity is higher and oak is lower than in Napa.
Recommended food pairing: pasta with cream sauce, chicken, poultry, it would even support milder dishes of pork

Overall score: 86

I will be rushing to get the remaining 3 bottles i have seen when i bought this bottle. I hope they will still have them :)
